Bit.ly dominates the market for URL shortener because of his position as shortener default URL on Twitter, but its capabilities measure up well against competitors. One area where Bit.ly lost, however, is the length of the base URL. Bit.ly is a character or tr.im ow.ly and two u.nu. more Bit.ly warrants that (relatively small) weakness of the introduction of j.mp, which is simply a shorter version of which all Bit.ly already use.
