EventVue, a company that builds online communities for conferences in order to improve networking conference among individuals, has launched a new product called Discover designed to help conference participants to find friends who attend the same event . The objective of Discover works with various API businesses, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Contacts and Yahoo! Contacts to help identify matches.
Discover is a simple widget that organizers of the conference can be installed on their sites to show an event speakers, sponsors and participants. She is currently in private beta, and only selected conferences using the widget on their site, according to a blog entry. Interestingly LinkedIn API is a private API that only a handful of companies to access, and was one of EventVue business access to the API.
